Another Set Of Coasters

Continuing my experimentation with colors and patterns, here is another set of coasters with mandala designs. After a few rounds of trial and error, I decided to stick to temporary tattoos for the designs. They can be applied to the piece very easily and after sealing the piece they seem to stay on pretty good, even after repeated use.

Materials Used

• For the concrete mix, I used portland cement (1 part), sand (2 parts), fiber

• For the reinforcement, I use a decorative metal screen cut to desired sizes (note that having lots of holes is preferred)

• I got the temporary tattoos online

• I seal the pieces with a food-safe sealant
